The Gorebridge Connected Masterplan was drawn up to compliment and build on the work of the Gorebridge CARS scheme. The project has three main elements:

1. Street improvements to Hunter Square
2. Improvements and the creation of a Heritage Trail in the Main Street
3. The restoration and conversion of the vacant Gorebridge station building

The aim being to improve and enhance the centre of Gorebridge to attract new investment and create a safer and more comfortable pedestrian environment and restoring and enhancing the historic character of the conservation area as well as promoting more sustainable modes of travel.

Please come along on August 15th, 2.00pm –7.30pm at the Gorebridge Community Development Trust’s office at 58 Main Street , Gorebridge , EH23 4BY to view the exhibition and meet the
design team.

The Gorebridge Connected Project is a partnership between Midlothian Council, Historic Environment Scotland , The Scottish Government, ScotRail and in the
case of the station Leader and the Railway Heritage Trust .

The project has three main elements:

The repair and restoration of Gorebridge station building
The improvement of Hunter Square
The Main Street Link Project which includes the development of the Gorebridge Heritage Trail.

Programme:15th August 2018 2.00pm-7.30pm at 58 Main Street Gorebridge EH23 4BY for an exhibition of the proposals plus chance to meet the design team and the Gorebridge Archivist, Refreshment available and fully accessible.

The partnership group comprises Midlothian Council, Scot Rail, Network Rail, Scottish Government, Gorebridge Community Development Trust, the Railway Heritage Trust and LEADER.
