From handmade soaps to beautiful botanical skincare\, there will be something special for everyone to discover. \nGorebridge Community Choir:\nLet the uplifting melodies of the Gorebridge Community Choir lift your spirits as they serenade us with their enchanting voices. Simply sit back and enjoy the harmonious tunes. Starts 2PM. \nSRUC Showgardens and Recruitment Event:\nWe are excited that the students from the Scottish Rural College (SRUC) will be installing within the Beacon Garderns their show gardens this year. Come and explore\, meet the students\, get inspiration and ideas for your own green spaces (no matter if it’s a large pot or a large garden). The Showgardens will be judged at 12:30 for 2024. \nPlus\, don’t miss the SRUC recruitment event where you can learn more about exciting courses and opportunities offered by SRUC from horticulture to animal care\, agriculture to forestry the courses at SRUC is vast\, and on our doorstep. DESCRIPTION:This event is now sold out\n  \nSanta afternoon tea returns for another year at the Beacon. \nJoin us for a festive treat – Standard Afternoon Tea or Vegan Afternoon Tea for adults and mini adults alike! \nSanta will visit all mini adults at their seats and they will receive a gift – we appreciate that not everyone would enjoy this so please let us know and we will ensure that Santa drops the gift off beforehand. \nIn support of our community and in recognition of rising costs we’ve kept the prices the same as last year £12 adults and £10 for mini adults. \nWe regret as this is a mass catered event we are unable to offer a gluten free alternative. \nThe afternoon tea may contain any of the main allergens – please contact us in advance if you have any allergies and we will do our best to accomodate. \nPlease note as nuts are used in the menu the event is not suitable for those with nut allergies. \n

DESCRIPTION:We are holding a fundraising bingo night event at the Beacon on Friday 15th September. Doors open 6.30\, eyes down at 7 PM. BYOB. \nThere are plenty of prizes on offer to win. The cafe will be open to buy nibbles. DESCRIPTION:‘Congratulations’…….you’ve got around to ‘Making Your Mind Up’ and booking a ticket for the Beacon’s Eurovision Final Party. \nJoin us in enjoying the wonderfully FABULOUS Eurovision final. \nWe will be screening the event on a large screen.  Eurovision fancy dress is absolute must\, so dust of those flares and sparkles! \n \nBYOB means you can bring your own snacks and ‘Bucks Fizz’ of your choice. \nOver 14-18 welcome\, but must be accompanied by an adult. \nDoors open 7.30 to late – \nEntry £5 – we politely request that you bring along a food or drink item from one of the participating countries – these will be made into hampers raffled off on the night by the community gardeners.

DESCRIPTION:Love is in the air….. \nShona and Emily our fantastic trainees are developing valentines or galentines cake boxes as part of their training.  Each box will contain enough treats for 2 people cake\, biscuits and of course chocs!  The young people will be learning lots of new skills\, in baking and sugarcraft and I’m sure that our regulars will attest to the end product is sure to be amazing. \nThe products are going to be freshly prepared for valentines day itself – ordering closes in a few weeks and box numbers are limited.  Collection will be between 3-6pm on valentines day. \nWhat better way to show your love and support our young people in their journey.

DESCRIPTION:The Beacon Presents – Handbags and Gladrags Dress Exchange. \nWe all have those great items in our wardrobe that we won’t wear again but are just too good to give away.  The dress exchange allows you to swap and not shop\, this is how it works. \n\nDrop your items at the Beacon on Thurs 2nd to 4.00pm – 9.00pm  and Friday 3rd 8.00am to 4.00pm – PLEASE LABLE BAGS WITH NUMBER OF ITEMS AND DRESS SIZE.\nYou will be given a ticket to enter on the day.\nArrive on Sat – the hall will open at 1.30pm for an hour and a half – pay the £3 entry (which helps to cover costs) browse and select new items – the maximum number of items you take shouldnt exceed the amount of items you have donated  .\nAny remaining items will be donated to charity.
