More folk = more choices of style and size we will have to chose from. \n\n\n \n\n\nDoes your favourite clothing need a SMALL REPAIR?\n\n\nCome along and our lovely sewing fairy will help you repair it the best she can. \n\n\n \n\n\nClothes Swapping = FREE!\n\n\nLove charity shopping? Clothing Swapping is even better! more freedom\, more fun trying new things with others\,\n\n\n \n\n\nBring along a selection of good quality\, CLEAN and gently worn clothing items that you no longer wear (even stuff that might have been going in the bin)\, to swap for something NEW TO YOU.\n\n\nGot clothes or textiles needing a wee repair? Bring them along and our sewing tutur Kiki will show you how to mend it to your can wear it again.\n\n \n\n\n**All sizes of clothing welcome**\n\n\n \n\n\nHomemade food will be served from 6:30pm\n\n\n \n\n\nHow a Clothes Swap Works\n\n\n* 6:30pm- 7:15pm – Pop in to The Beacon on Hunterfield Road\, Donate your items. \n\n\nThen\, browse the rails of gently worn clothes\, try on items you might like. and enjoy some food whilst having a blether and a laugh with friends. \n\n\n* 7:15pm- After everyone has had a good chance to browse the items on offer\, everything goes back on the rails…then when we say READY>STEADY> GO! Start swapping! 😉\n\n\n \n\n\nWhen you arrive we will weigh the items you bring. \n\n\nBefore you leave we will weigh the items you have claimed- These weights are very important as they get recorded as a carbon saving and are then reported to our funders.

DESCRIPTION:Join our expert mender Kiki so she can show you how to make simple and effective repairs to your favourite clothing and textiles. \nRepairing our clothes means keeping them being worn and loved for longer and keeping them out of landfill by reusing instead of recycling or binning. \n“Extending the average life of clothes by just three months of active use per item would\nlead to a 5-10% reduction in each of the carbon\, water and waste footprints” \nSuitable for beginners. \nPlease just drop-in during the morning.
