Clothing Swapping is even better! more freedom\, more fun trying new things with others\, \nBring along a selection of good quality\, CLEAN and gently worn clothing items that you no longer wear to swap for something NEW TO YOU. \nPLEASE BRING HANGERS! \nAll sizes of adults and childrens clothing welcome.\nTops/t-shirts/shirts/blouses\nTrousers/shorts/skirts/dresses\nShoes/bags/jewellery \nAlso we welcome CLEAN TOWELS and OLD T-SHIRTS that we will use in future upcycling workshops\, turning something old into something new. \nPlease Invite your friends and family! More folk = more choices of style and size we will have to swap! \nLocal and homemade goodies will be served from 6pm \nHow a Clothes Swap Works\n* 6:30pm- 7:15pm – Pop in to the Pop-up Beacon\, Donate your items.\nThen\, browse the rails of gently worn clothes\, try on items you might like. and enjoy your soup whilst having a blether and a laugh with friends.\n* 7:15pm- After everyone has had a good chance to browse the items on offer\, everything goes back on the rails…then when we say READY>STEADY> GO! DESCRIPTION:BOOKING ESSENTIAL \nJoin our fabulous clothes mender Kiki and she will show you how to and help you repair and mend your lovely clothes\, helping to keep them in use and being dearly loved for a lot longer\, saving you money! \n\n\nTake up hems/rehem trousers and skirts\n\n\nSew on a button so it’s less likely to fall of… AGAIN!\n\n\nMend or patch holes in your favourite jeans\, tops or shirts.\n\n\nBring items such as: tops\, trousers\, jeans\, shirts\, jackets\, socks\, jumpers\, towels\, blankets\, etc \nPlease bring a maximum of 2 items of clothing for repair. Or you could bring more and pick 2\,  because you might learn different skills with a different item. The repair skills you will learn are transferable\, e.g. darning or hole repair can be done equally on a sock or the crotch of jeans.  \nN.B. You might manage to complete more than 2 in the time available\, but we’re making no promises!! 🙂 \nNo sewing skills needed. All materials will be provided. \nVenue has 3 steps into the entrance so not suited for wheelchair access. Exact address details will be set prior to the event. \nHowever\, we will be hosting another session in August (Thursday 23rd August) in Gorebridge which is wheelchair access accessible. \nLook forward to seeing you on Wednesday 25th July
