SUMMARY:Dogs Trust Community Event
DESCRIPTION:The Dogs Trust will be in Gorebridge on Thursday the 16th August between 11 – 3 pm at Arniston Park. \nThis is a community event\, a veterinary nurse will carry out a basic health check\, which includes checking eyes\, ears\, teeth and weight\, to make sure your dog is happy\, fit and healthy. Alongside the health check\, the team will provide advice on diet\, training and neutering. Each owner will be provided with a responsible dog ownership pack\, including handy tips and useful resources for you to continue to use at home. \n\nThe Community Events team offer free on-the-spot microchipping for dogs that aren’t yet chipped (microchipping is a legal requirement as of April 2016). DESCRIPTION:BOOK YOUR PLACE \nEvent will take place in Newtongrange- address will be sent to you after booking. \nJoin our fabulous clothes mender Kiki and she will show you how to and help you repair your favourite jeans\, making them presentable and wearable again\, and helping to keep them in use and being dearly loved for a lot lot longer. \nYou might have developed a ripped knee\, a hole worn in the crotch or a frayed hem on your trusty jeans\, but the good news is all of these problems can be tackled with a little know how and some dedicated time. \nClothing repair cafe to the rescue!! \nPlease bring a maximum of 2 pair of jeans for repair. \nThe repair skills you will learn are transferable\, e.g. darning or hole repair can be done equally on a sock or the crotch of jeans.  \nN.B. The number of items you will be able to repair will depend on how complicated your repairs are. You might be able to complete 2 projects in the time available\, but we’re making no promises!! 🙂 \nNo prior sewing skills needed. All materials will be provided.  \nThe venue has 3 steps into the entrance so not suited for wheelchair access.
