DESCRIPTION:Come along to the Beacon Play Cafe Friday 9.30 – 11.30. \nThe café will be open and there is a dedicated space for pre-schoolers to play\, we have plenty buggy space and staff will be on hand for a blether.  The café is a great place to meet with other parents/carers\, and make new friends. We have highchairs available and plenty changing facilities. \nWe are always looking for donations of resources/play equipment so we can mix it up. Encountering Everest-like conditions\, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf\, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom. \nTickets £4 (child\, under 12) and £5 (adult) and can be purchased here on the website. All children must be accompanied by an adult. \nCOVID-19: if for any reason we feel this activity is ‘unsafe’ or Scottish Government Guidelines change between now and 3rd December to host\, we will offer a full refund. Face coverings must be worn until seated. You will be seated in your household group\, 1m apart from another household.

SUMMARY:Wreath Making Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Get creative and make your own fresh Christmas Wreath this year.  \nWe will provide you with all the materials you need for your fresh wreath. Classes are led\, this means that whether you are a wreath-making novice or seasoned expert\, you can create a wreath to be proud of. This is a fundraising workshop with all proceeds going back into the running/activities of the Gorebridge Beacon.  \nWe are running two workshops on the 4th December\, both sessions last approximately 2 hours. \nThe first session is 10 – 12 PM and the second runs 1 – 3 PM both sessions include a cuppa and cake from the café. \nPrice:  \n£25 per person\, payable at time of booking. DESCRIPTION:This true Christmas classic is full of laughter\, dance and of course the beloved holiday song\, ‘White Christmas’. A romantic\, dazzling musical starring Bing Crosby\, it has delighted audiences for more than 60 years and never fails to entertain. \nCome and join us on the 4th December as we show White Christmas. We will set the Beacon Halls up ‘cabaret style’ – tables of 4 or 6\, BYOB\, get together with friends and family\, sing along\, all welcome.  \nThis classic film musical with score by Irving Berlin is essential pre-christmas viewing with a stellar cast and classic songs including White Christmas\, Sisters\, Snow and Gee\, I Wish I Was Back in the Army. \nSingers Bob Wallace (Bing Crosby) and Phil Davis (Danny Kaye) join sister act Betty (Rosemary Clooney) and Judy Haynes (Vera-Ellen) to perform a Christmas show in rural Vermont. There\, they run into Gen. Waverly (Dean Jagger)\, the boys’ commander in World War II\, who\, they learn\, is having financial difficulties; his quaint country inn is failing.
