"Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world."
We are a registered charity and our aim is to make a difference. We’d really like you to get involved. You could take part in a project, join an event or workshop, offer your skills to another member of the community, volunteer, or become a member as a group or an individual, a friend or a business supporter - or you can help us by sharing your ideas.
- Being heard - you can suggest projects for us to get involved in.
- Being kept up to date – you’ll be first to hear about our news and events.
- Being connected – to likeminded people with a commitment to enhancing our area and improving it for all: environment, health, wellbeing, and realising potential.

Gorebridge Community Development Trust is in the process of developing a multi-purpose community hub. The hub will replace the old Brown Building providing a much needed fit for purpose community building. As well as the Beacon, GCDT have supported the CARS Project for the past five years, we are just about to support Gorebridge Connected, click here for more details.
Who Are We?
We are an independent, community owned and charitable organisation working in Gorebridge - we began in 2004 as a response to local residents seeking positive change in the community, and from a growing realisation that worthwhile development can only take place if the people themselves participate in the action, and by supporting in whatever ways possible the efforts of groups and individuals to bring about community improvement.
To date we have undertaken a range of long and short projects from improving here on the Trust website you will find information on past work, present work and the plans for the future and how you can get involved. Built from an industrial past, Gorebridge is a changing and expanding community, there is no time like the present to take part so that the area can be cared for and nurtured for this day so it can be a great place to live, work and play tomorrow.
