Wreath Making Workshop with Lorna and Dawn
Come along and join us for a Christmas Wreath Making Workshop (2 times available) with Dawn and Lorna at The Beacon (Hunterfield Road) on Saturday 8th December. Enjoy the company of others, learn a new skill, make a wreath for yourself, and if you have time please help us make one for someone else in the community which we deliver after the event.
Step outside this time of year with the intention of making a wreath you’ll be amazed at all the different types of foliage and greenery you can find.
On Saturday, Lorna and Dawn will have already collected foliage from many different gardens – thank you Gorebridge – for you to work with, including the holly and ivy!
We would love for you to join us, we aren’t florists, nor do we claim to be experts, but we promise you will have a beautiful wreath and a skill you can use year on year.
There are two workshop times: 12:30 – 2:30 and 3:00 to 5:00. The workshops are taking place in The Beacon, tea and coffee will be available, and a mincemeat pie or two. Priority places will be given to residents living in EH23.
This is a pay what you feel workshop. Any income from the workshop will be used for the garden at the Beacon. All we ask is if you book and then something crops on Saturday which means you can’t attend, are you able to let us know as soon as you can so we can free your space up for someone else?
