The first Buggy Walk took place in Gorebridge on Monday 29th May, where a group of new parents joined in a led walk from Gorebridge Trust office, ending up back here for coffee and cake at the end.
These first walks are planned until the end of June and will take place every Monday morning from 10.30am until noon. The walks are being led by trained walk leaders Jaimie MacDonald and Michaela Jackson from the GCDT (Greening Gorebridge) in conjunction with Dawn Craig a Wellbeing Office for the NHS.
Are you a new parent? Would you like to meet other new parents, improve and maintain your health, well-being and confidence, build a network of support for yourself and your new baby in a relaxed and informal environment?
Buggy Walks are a great way to do this. There is also the opportunity to socialise after the walk with tea and coffee. Buggy Walk always begin and end at 58 Main Street (Gorebridge Trust Office)Please come 15 mins before the start walks.
How can you take part?
These walks have been made possible through the Greening Gorebridge project, funded by The Climate Challenge Fund.
The walks are free to attend but pre-booking is required. Please wear comfortable, suitable clothing and shoes.
If walks are full, a waiting list will be created. After the first set of walks, the time and dates will be reviewed for future walks after feedback has been gathered.
