Who: The workshops promise to be full of fun and laughter.
Participants will develop their own unique clown persona through games and theatre techniques and exploration of the clown state. Focusing on character, costume, slapstick, and connection with the audience, we will develop short routines for a final performance.
Workshop Leader: Bec Phips is a performer, workshop leader and theatre maker based in Edinburgh. For the past 10 years Bec has worked as a Clowndoctor with Hearts & Minds, engaging with children and young people in Hospitals, Hospices and SEND schools across Scotland.
Her work is focused on theatre clowning and performs regularly at cabarets and festivals. She is also a skilled teacher, running workshops with professional performers and community groups. Bec loves the joy and connection that clowning can bring.
