The Gorebridge Beacon offers the opportunity to hire either part of, or the entire venue, extremely flexible use, light and airy rooms and stunning views.
The income raised through the hire of the halls contributes towards the funding of the charitable activities of Gorebridge Community Development Trust, as well as the sustainability of the Beacon for the benefit of the residents of Gorebridge.
The Beacon Halls are perfect for birthday parties, family celebrations, meetings and corporate events, training, professional gathering, fairs, funeral teas/wakes, weddings, workshops and community events, large and small.
Block bookings are also available and we host various classes and workshops throughout the week at an enhanced rate.
The hall can be split via bi-fold doors into three areas, with the first section having the most wonderful view right over the Pentlands. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and we can offer wi-fi, screens and projectors. Depending on your needs we can help you choose the correct space for your event. The full hall can accommodate 125 people seated in rows or around tables and 200 standing.
If you are looking for a space for a party or family celebrations we can help. We have hosted many birthday parties, baby naming, anniversary and receptions.

Our community cafe can offer a wide range of catering options - from tea and bakes to delicious lunches - quotes available on request.
Easily Accessible
The Beacon is easily accessible via the A68, A7 and A702, the Beacon is only 60 minutes from Edinburgh by bus, with stops right outside our door or 25 mins by train, with the station less than a 10 minute walk away, parking is also available onsite.

WEDDING RECEPTIONS
Unlike some wedding venues, we don’t try to take over your ‘big day’ – we simply leave you free to bring in your own caterers, florists, musicians, decorators and indeed any one else that you choose. We don’t charge corkage or commissions.
CHILDREN’S PARTIES
The Beacon is a bright and airy environment for your child’s next birthday party, with plenty of room to run around. The Beacon Hall has it's own entrance. We provide the space and it can be booked with or without inflatables so you can arrange the entertainment you want. Find Out More Click Here

With the hall being able to split into 3 spaces we can accommodate a range of party size - from 10 to 150 guests. the choice. You are more than welcome to decorate your space for a themes event and can hire the kitchen space for catering..
EVENTS/MEETINGS
We can cater for up to 150 people seated theatre style in the Beacon Hall if you need a space to hold your event. We can also split the hall into three unique spaces for smaller meeting and events.
CLASSES
A wide variety of groups meet here and diverse classes are offered (from Yoga for adults, karate for both adults and children and Buzzy Bees music to performing arts for children). Please contact us about running a regular class or workshop here.
FUNERAL RECEPTIONS/WAKES
