This Christmas, we’re bringing together some of the brilliant creative talent from our local community for two very special evenings at the Beacon.
Our Christmas Cabaret is a celebration of local people, local talent and the creativity that happens when people are given the opportunity, encouragement and space to have a go.
Over the past eight weeks, local people have been taking part in our Stand Up Comedy, Spoken Word, Scriptwriting, Film and Art courses. Now, it’s time to step into the spotlight and share what they’ve created.
Expect an evening packed with comedy, spoken word, performance, creativity, art and film, with exhibitions showcasing work from other workshops and creative projects at the Beacon. It’s going to be varied, entertaining, a little bit unexpected and very much about celebrating the people and talent right here in our community.
This is more than just a night out. It’s a chance to see what can happen when local people get the opportunity to learn something new, discover their creativity and put themselves out there. You’ll be supporting people who have taken that step, whether that’s getting up on stage for the first time, sharing their words, showing their artwork or seeing their film on screen.
Come along, have a laugh, enjoy some brilliant local creativity and support the people who have made it happen.
