Clothes Swap

If you’ve been meaning to have a clear-out (or you already have a bag of clothes sitting by the front door), our Community Clothes Swap is the easiest and most rewarding way to pass things on. Bring your gently used clothes, shoes, or accessories, and swap them for something new-to-you — no money, no waste, just feel-good fashion.

We all have pieces we don’t wear anymore — the jeans that never quite fit, the dress that’s lovely but just not you. Instead of letting them take up space or sending them to landfill, bring them along and let someone else enjoy them. In return, you can browse and pick up a few new finds for yourself. It’s a guilt-free refresh for your wardrobe and a simple way to live more sustainably.

The swap is as easy as it sounds. Just drop off your clean, good-quality items at the Gorebridge Beacon between 24 – 28th November 8AM – 8PM (if possible, please put sizes on bags etc). Then come along on the 29th November 1 – 4PM , have a cuppa, and enjoy the buzz of people swapping stories (and clothes!). You’ll meet others who care about reducing waste and supporting each other — without any of the pressure or effort that usually comes with being “green.”

Busy lives don’t leave much room for extra projects, but this one practically does itself. You’ll clear space in your wardrobe, help the planet, and go home with something you actually love — all in one relaxed afternoon.
