Our last session at Newbyres village for the year saw us making winter foliage wreaths with the residents. This was a follow on from the wreath making workshop we held at the new Beacon building on Saturday 8th December. It was really lovely to be able to offer the residents the opportunity to make some wreaths for their Christmas fayre on the 15th December.
In all, we made over a dozen wreathes using Dogwood, Fir, Holly and Lelylandii and pine cones. The result was some really beautiful creations.
It has been such a wonderful few months assisting in the garden and activities at Newbyres Village and I am very grateful for the opportunity to do this. Many thanks to Gail Flynn and to Catriona Moredaunt for volunteering with me.
Looking forward to more opportunities in 2019.
